Meet us there at 2:00 pm to sing hymns and share in a short devotional thought. Alcoholics Anonymous: Sunday evening and Tuesday Evening in the Family Room In addition,several troops of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts meet in our facilities throughout the week. We also support the Interfaith Hospitality Network (serving the homeless of Hunterdon County) and the Friendship Center for New Beginnings (helping single mothers and their families) in Flemington, NJ. INTERNATIONAL MISSIONARIES Mayra and Carlos Bonilla-Giovanetti, serving with International Ministries of American Baptist Churches, USA, in Spain Rachel Goldstein Davis, serving with Chosen People Ministries in Jerusalem Lois and Roger Bryson, serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Sam and Joan Fiore, serving with Cross World Ministries in Milan, Italy. Sandi and Currie Burgess, serving with Bridge Ministries in Honduras. Three more individuals who cannot be named due to politically sensitive assignments. SPECIAL PROJECTS IN 2010 - 2011 "Go-Global 30 Club" through American Baptist Churches of New Jersey. The goal is for every person in the congregation to contribute the cost of one cup of coffee on one Sunday a month. Look for the coffee can on the table in the foyer on the second Sunday of every month. 2011 Vacation Bible School Missions Project: Received $302.00 Disaster Relief Offering for the people of Japan, sent through Samaritan's Purse. 3rd Annual Senior Christmas Luncheon (2011) with carol singing afterward for 3 area Senior Citizen groups. Approximately 70 Seniors attended. Thanks to all who helped! Deacon Board Christmas Project: We prepared 100 gift bags with a CD and an invitation to our Christmas Eve service to be handed out by our members. Mission Local Outreach: We purchased, prepared and mailed approximately 700 postcard invitations to the Christmas Eve service. Japan Offering for Earthquake Relief: A special offering was received in April, 2011 for Japan disaster relief. A total of $585.00 has been sent through the ministry of Samaritan's Purse. |
